Wawa, a chain of more than 595 convenience retail stores concentrated in the northeast, will open its first store in the State of Florida in Orlando on Wednesday.
The first of five locations in Central Florida, Wawa offers a large fresh food selection, including Wawa brands like Built-to-Order® Hoagies which come in four sizes: the Junior, Shorti, Classic, and Two-Footer. Wawa also offers award-winning Freshly Brewed Coffee, the Sizzli® hot breakfast sandwich, quality dairy products and Wawa brand juices and teas. All Wawa stores feature a wide selection of ready-to-go salads, and fresh fruits.
Today, before the grand opening, Wawa will hold a sneak preview of its first store located at Central Florida Parkway & International Drive, Southwest Orange, FL 32821.
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will join Wawa officials in announcing long-term expansion plans and expected economic impact to the Greater Orlando community, as well as in announcing Wawa’s partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
On Wednesday, Dyer will again join Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, Wawa officials and others for a formal ribbon cutting ceremony at 10.00 a.m.
The other planned Wawa locations are: 4700 S. Goldenrod Road in Orlando, 2184 E Irlo Bronson in Kissimmee, 2499 N. Orange Blossom Trail, also in Kissimmee, and 2500 Silver Star Road in Orlando.
Wawa employs 18,000 associates throughout portions of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.
