Orange County Sheriff’s deputies and other law enforcement agencies plan to blanket the east side for offenders who would drink and drive.
Beginning Friday, December 28 at 9:00 p.m. through Saturday, December 29th until 4:00 a.m., suspected DUI offenders and criminal traffic violators will be removed from the highways by mobile and highly visibility traffic enforcement tactics. A roving patrol composed of deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol troopers, and local municipalities will saturate the streets, roads and highways in and around east and central Orange County.
Cities such as Orlando, Edgewood and Belle Isle will be part of this multi-jurisdictional DUI Saturation Traffic Operation.
The multi-agency effort involves not only the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, but as well, Maitland Police Department, Orlando Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol Troop D, Florida Highway Patrol Troop K Turnpike, Winter Park Police Department, University of Central Florida Police Department, Edgewood Police Department, and Winter Garden Police Department, among others.
