The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will be taking part in a multi-jurisdictional DUI Checkpoint and Saturation Patrol Operation, starting at 9:00 p.m. on Friday and ending at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 24.  The objective of this operation is to educate the motoring public and to safely remove suspected DUI offenders and criminal traffic violators from the highways by mobile and stationary high visibility traffic enforcement tactics.

In addition, OCSO deputies will continue the Click it or Ticket seat belt enforcement campaign in various locations in Orange County through May 26th.

Tickets in the amount of $114 will be issued for those motorists not wearing a seat belt, and $164.00 tickets plus 3 points will be issued for motorists who fail to properly restrain their children.

The operation is a multi-agency effort involving members of several law enforcement agencies including Ocoee Police Department, Orlando Police Department and Florida Highway Patrol.
