Vision Quits Flying to Panhandle

When Vision Airlines announced last year that it would expand its service to Northwest Florida Regional Airport, Gov. Rick Scott hailed the move and said it would help job creation. But the boost might be short-lived.

The Northwest Florida Daily News reported Thursday that Vision will suspend flights to the airport as of Sunday.

The paper reported that it is unclear when, of if, flights will resume, though Okaloosa County’s airport director expressed confidence the company will be back.
