Universal Orlando Resort is hiring for more than 2,500 full-time, part-time, seasonal and salaried positions, as travel is expected to increase going into spring break and summer. Universal’s Mardi Gras event just kicked off as well and crowds are likely to continue growing. The theme park’s starting base pay is now $15/hour, but some positions may earn employees more.
Universal Orlando is trying to fill positions across the resort, including in attractions, aquatics, custodial, parking, security, paramedics, and many other areas. There’s also a clear need in Food & Beverage – if you’ve visited the parks lately, you may have experienced difficulty finding food or drink options without a long wait.
“Universal Orlando is also now hiring for opportunities within the resort’s Food & Beverage team, with positions available in all areas including full-service wait staff, cooks, cashiers, dishwashers, quick service personnel, Food & Beverage Management roles and more,” Universal Orlando said in a press release. “In addition, available culinary positions offer competitive starting rates and the training and opportunity to build a great culinary career.”
There are also open positions in various other departments such as entertainment, IT, finance, marketing & sales, and human resources.
