The United States Postal Service is hiring to fill a variety of positions at post offices from New Port Richey to Cocoa, and many locations in between, with salaries ranging from $18.69 to $19.06 per hour. “In Central Florida, the Postal Service will be hiring 674 Rural Carrier Associates to help our workforce deliver mail and packages. That’s the most delivery personnel we have needed in over 10 years,” said Florida 2 District Manager Steve Hardin. “As part of our 10-year Delivering for America plan, which will help us achieve financial sustainably and service excellence, we are seeking hard-working, dedicated individuals to join our team of employees, who are the Postal Service’s greatest asset.”
Current positions available through April 10th include:
- Assistant Rural Carrier / Rural Carrier Associate: Cases, delivers and collects mail along a rural route using a vehicle. Provide customers on the route with a variety of services. Salary: $19.06 per hour.
- City Carrier Assistant: Delivers and collects mail on foot or by vehicle under varying road and weather conditions in assigned areas. Salary: $18.92 per hour.
- Postal Support Employee: Performs distribution and a variety of sales and customer support services for products. Maintains pleasant and effective public relations with customers and others requiring a general familiarity with postal laws, regulations and procedures commonly used. Salary: $18.69 per hour.
