U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Regional Director Visits Orlando

With holiday gatherings and travel around the corner, Region 4 Director for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Antrell Tyson stopped in Orlando at the Florida Blue Florida Classic Fan Fest event to discuss the importance of health equity and COVID-19 vaccine access.

Region 4 HHS Director Tyson and Walgreens Will host an interactive pop-up COVID-19 vaccination and education event to provide vaccines, COVID-19 resources and health equity educational materials.

This special Orlando stop outside of Camping World Stadium, planned just in time for the holiday season, is part of the We Can Do This COVID-19 Publlic Education Campaign.

The campaign hosted a pop-up vaccination event during the Florida Blue Florida Classic Fan Fest, the official pre-game tailgate before the popular football game. Since its inception in 1978, this in-state annual rivalry between Florida A&M University and Bethune-Cookman University is the nation’s largest Historically Black College/University football game, and it is a Florida tradition that serves as a fundraiser for education initiatives at both universities.
