A two-year-old child has drowned in a swimming pool.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said the child was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at W. 18th Street in Apopka, around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Orange County Fire Rescue responded to the location and transported the 2-year-old child to Florida Hospital Apopka.
The child was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the hospital.
Investigators from the Orange County Homicide Unit also responded to the scene.
Very few details on the two-year-old child and the drowning have been released.
