Two Orlando Teens Indicted for Murder and Robbery

Two Orlando teens were indicted for murder and robbery.

An Orange County grand jury formally indicted 19-year-old Kendrion Dow and 17-year-old Justin Copeland for First Degree Murder (with a Firearm) and Robbery (with a Firearm). The grand jury also indicted Dow for Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Credit/Debit Card.

On March 21, 2024, the Orlando Police Department responded to a home in the 4400 block of Watch Hill Road.

Officers found 50-year-old Robert Bowen in his driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital but pronounced deceased after arrival.

The investigation revealed two suspects approached the victim in his driveway and shot him. One of the suspects then removed Mr. Bowen’s wallet from his pocket.

Following the shooting, the deceased victim received several fraud notifications about financial transactions being attempted with his bank account. Detectives linked those transactions to the suspects. Police located and arrested both suspects for Mr. Bowen’s murder.

The State presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure indictments against Dow and Copeland. State Attorney Andrew Bain’s office direct filed and charged Copeland, 16 years old at the time of the homicide, as an adult.
