Brandon Goode, 18, the teen who officers say shot and killed Windermere Police Officer Robert German early on Saturday morning, had threatened his mother with an axe less than two years ago, according to an arrest report.

In October 2012, Goode’s mother told investigators her son pinned her between a table and a wall after she arrived home. Goode had an axe resting on his shoulder during the altercation with his mother when he demanded she accepts his father’s offer regarding a divorce settlement, according the arrest report.  At the time, Goode wore black face paint and had covered some of the windows in the home with blankets and sat on a couch in the living area, waiting for his mother to return home.

Brandon Goode, was arrested again on February 24, 2014, after deputies found illegal narcotics, alcohol and other drug paraphernalia in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Davenport.  A female companion, believed to Alexandria Hollinghurst, 17, was also arrested.

On Saturday morning, Goode and his girlfriend, Hollinghurst, were stopped by Officer German as they walked in the area of Horizon Circle and Conroy-Windermere Road, a wealthy suburb near Orlando.  Officer German was on routine foot patrol and judged that the couple looked suspicious.

Officer German called for back up and had provided his location, but when the first OCSO deputy arrived, he was lying on the roadway, mortally wounded.  At the same time, shots were heard in the area.

Four Orange County Sheriff’s deputies, one Orlando Police Officer and one Ocoee Police Officer participated in a tactical rescue – using a patrol car to shield Officer German and get him out of the area.

The group of law enforcement officers then met up with OCFR paramedics, who transported Officer German to ORMC while rendering aid.

Officer German was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound at ORMC.

Shortly after, law enforcement officers discovered Goode and Hollinghurst dead in some under brush near 9350 Conroy/Windermere Road.  Investigators believe that the pair committed suicide. Hollinghurst’s family thinks she was murdered by her boyfriend, Goode.

The OCSO Homicide Unit is investigating the murder of Officer German.
