Teen Robbery Suspect Killed in Gunfire Exchange with Cops

Omarri Williams – robbery suspect shot and killed in shoot out with Orlando police.

Orlando police shot and killed a 17-year-old robbery suspect after exchanging gunfire at an apartment complex on Wednesday night.

Investigators went to the Camden Reserve Apartments in the 5300 block of Lake Margaret Drive around 9:00 p.m., and saw a suspect, later identified as 17-year-old Omarri Williams shooting at victims.

Officers engaged Williams and gunfire was exchanged. As a result, Williams was pronounced dead from his injuries.

Police have not released the names of the other parties involved in this robbery and shooting incident, but believe that all are known to each other.

Police also say, there was a second suspect who fled the location as officers arrived and who remains at large.

The cops involved in this fatal shooting incident are, Officers Alberto Negron, Travis Lamont and Ben Chisari, who are assigned to the East Tactical Midnight Squad.  Following the shooting, all three have been relieved of their duty, pending the outcomes of a preliminary administrative review.

 Authorities say, this is an active investigation.  Florida Department of Law Enforcement is also investigating the fatal shooting.
