A teen driver was killed on Interstate 95 on Monday, after she lost control of the Ford pick-up and was ejected out of the window.
19-year-old Rebecca Schneider, of Port Orange, died on the spot, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Schneider was heading eastbound on US-92, then traveled onto the entrance ramp to go southbound on Interstate 95. That’s when she lost control and struck a guardrail.
Troopers said, Schneider was partially ejected out of the window and was pronounced dead on the scene by the medical examiner.
A passenger in the 2000 Ford pick-up, Jonathan Carson, 45, also of Port Orange, suffered only minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Troopers said, the crash remains under investigation.
