With open enrollment for the federal Health Insurance Marketplace underway, state Representative Linda Stewart (D-Orlando) will host an enrollment fair on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Howard Middle School Library in Orlando.
“The enrollment fair and information forum is a great opportunity for individuals, families and business owners to come together to better understand the health coverage opportunities that are available,” said Stewart. “Providing health care benefits to uninsured Floridians is one of the most important issues that needs to be addressed.”
Certified application counselors, health professionals and representatives of local groups will be on hand to help answer questions regarding enrollment in the Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Marketplace.
Attendees are encourage to bring the following: Social Security number, a pay stub or W-2 form for each family member needing coverage, policy numbers for any current health coverage, and a “Employer Coverage Tool” form, which can be obtained online.
