The job loss total at Stanford Development Company in Antigua moved closer to the 300 mark as another seven dozen workers were sent packing.
The company owned by accused fraudster, R. Allen Stanford, dismissed 94 workers at the company by letter sent to them Tuesday.
The dismissal letters reportedly cites “fiscal constraints” as the reason for the dismissal. It brings to 294 the total number of workers who have been fired from the development company in weeks. Two hundred employees were canned last month because of the global economic crisis, the company said at that time.
