Six-Year Pulse Remembrance Ceremony

The Six-Year Pulse Remembrance Ceremony hosted by onePULSE Foundation will be held on Sunday, June 12th from 7pm to 8pm at the Pulse Interim Memorial in Orlando (1912 S. Orange Ave.). The observance will bring together the families of the 49 people killed in the Pulse nightclub tragedy as well as the survivors, first responders, and the trauma teams who sacrificed so much to save so many.




There will be seating for invited guests, and the general public is invited to the memorial for standing room only. The general public is also invited to watch a live streaming of the ceremony on onePULSE Foundation’s Facebook page.

The ceremony will feature the reading of the 49 names by family members, and remarks from survivors Patience Murray and Amanda Grau, onePULSE Foundation Founder Barbara Poma, onePULSE Foundation Board Chair Earl Crittenden, City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, and guest speaker Chasten Buttigieg.

Additionally, Orlando Poet Laureate Shawn Welcome will read an original poem titled “Sunday Mournings.” Also, singers CeCe Teneal and Ashley Rosa will perform during the ceremony. Rev. Terir Steed Pierce and Rev. Stanley Ramos of Joy Metropolitan Community Church will lead the invocation.
