Sen. Gary Siplin (D-Orlando) will host his first “Homeowners’ Summit” on Thursday, September 1st, 2011. The purpose of the event is to provide a one-stop shop for constituents to get an update on recent legislative insurance reforms, information on foreclosure prevention, mortgage assistance, home weatherization and rehabilitation, as well as hurricane preparedness and property/casualty insurance coverage.
Participants include representatives from the Florida Department of Financial Services’ Consumer Services Division, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, Orange County Office of Emergency Management, Homes in Partnership, Inc., InCharge Debt Solutions, local insurance agencies, and many more.
