A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of an Orlando man whose body was found stuffed in a closet Tuesday, in a duplex in College Park.
24-year-old Xin Lui was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Lockhart, Orange County. Lui, along with Jeremy Hrabal, has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder in the first degree of James K. Clark, 56.
Clark’s body was discovered stuffed in a closet at an apartment on 231 1/2 West Princeton Avenue, around 6:30 a.m., on Tuesday.
Lui resided at the West Princeton Avenue address for a period of time, investigators say. He worked for Clark at an interior design business in Orlando, according to news reports.
Hrabal, the owner of the apartments was arrested Tuesday, after investigators say, he assisted in the destruction of evidence and/or hiding evidence police, after Clark was killed.
Hrabal told investigators that for several days a tenant upstairs of the duplex complained of an odor emanating from a downstairs apartment. According to Hrabal, when he asked Lui about the smell, he told him it was “dead rats.”
As the smell persisted, Hrabal told investigators he insisted that Lui allow him to check the apartment downstairs. According to the arrest affidavit, that’s when Hrabal said, he saw “a human body lying on its side… and the dead man’s head was mush.”
According to the arrest affidavit, Hrabal told investigators that Lui told him that several days ago, he [Lui] returned home to find James Keith Clark standing over a dead body. Hrabal said, Lui also told him Clark was holding a firearm and three pound hammer. Hrabal also said, Lui relayed that Clark said, if he “told anyone” that he would kill him and his family.
According to the arrest affidavit, Hrabal said he assisted Lui in removing the vehicle belonging to Clark from the residence and drove it to Clark’s residence.
Investigators say, Hrabal and his wife Jennifer Hrabal, removed their vehicles from the property, before police began their investigation.
