Second Suspect Arrested in Murder of Video Store Clerk

A second suspect wanted in the Haines City robbery homicide has been taken into custody.

19-year-old Jadarius Latra Wilson, of Navel Circle N., Haines City, was arrested on Sunday and booked into the Polk County Jail.

Wilson and another suspect, 28-year-old Jacroy Shamar Waddell entered the Video Latino store at 1719 Hinson Avenue, Haines City on Friday morning, brandishing guns, detectives said.

The suspects ordered 20-year-old Jaime Magana, Jr., the store clerk and owner’s son, to open the cash registers. Video surveillance showed Magana being held in a chock hold and opening the cash registers.

Subsequently, Magana was shot and killed by Waddell.   A customer found him dead in the store and contacted the Haines City Police Department.

Waddell was located at approximately 12:19 am, Sunday, October 9, 2011, at the Red Roof Inn, 2307 East Busch Boulevard, Tampa. He was taken into custody without incident.

Wilson was booked in the Polk County Jail, without bond. He has been charged with robbery with a firearm.
