With Tropical Storm Isaac’s path continuing to shift west, Gov. Rick Scott said Friday morning he doesn’t expect the storm to cause postponement of parts of next week’s Republican National Convention in Tampa.
“We’ll get rain, but we’re used to dealing with these things, and so the convention will go on. It will be a great convention,” Scott said on the MSNBC show “Morning Joe.”
Scott also said the state is prepared if potentially violent protests pop up during the convention. He said law enforcement is ready, and the Florida National Guard is on standby.
