At a townhall meeting last Thursday, South Carolina Lieutenant Governor, Andre Bauer compared the poor to stray animals. Bauer, at the time was discussing government assistance to the disadvantaged and needy.

Bauer told the gathering that his grandmother was not a highly education woman, who told him on one occasion to stop feeding stray animals.
“You know why? Because they breed!” said Bauer. “You’re facilitating the problem if you give an animal or a person ample food supply. They will reproduce, especially ones that don’t think too much further than that.”
Bauer has said that his remarks were taken out of context and claims that the present system of government assistance creates a culture of dependency and that nothing was being done to incentivize the poor.
Now, bear in mind that Bauer is running for governor in South Carolina.
Could you really vote for someone who shows disdain for the poor and disadvantaged, as this man has done?
At a time when so many hard-working Americans, including professionals, have loss their jobs and in many cases struggling to make ends meet, what would Bauer say to them?
Voters should reject Andre Bauer!
