Residents in Jamaica have been put on notice to expect heavy rains and possibly more flooding, with the development of Tropical Storm Richard today.
The threat comes as the country still continues to recovery from the billions of dollars in flood damage caused by Tropical Storm Nicole late last month.
This morning forecasters said Tropical Storm Richard is expected to produce up to eight inches of rain over the island, with possible isolated amounts of 12 inches in areas of higher terrain.
Around 11 a.m. EDT today, Tropical Storm Richard strengthened from Tropical Depression 19.
