Recent Orange County Tourist Development Tax collections set a new record.
Orange County Comptroller Phil Diamond recently announced that Tourist Development Tax (TDT) collections received by Orange County for the October 2025 TDT collection month were $33,928,000. That is a 15.1% increase compared to October 2024.
“With the start of a new fiscal year, TDT collections have surged out of the gate—setting a new all-time record for October collections” said Orange County Comptroller Phil Diamond. “These collections are especially impressive because the federal government was ‘shutdown’ during the entire month of October.”
On the TDT reserve side, Renewal & Replacement Reserves (R&RR) decreased by $12.6 million in October as shown in the attached “TDT Cash Reserve Summary”. The Other Authorized Uses Reserves, which is a component of the R&RR, is currently at $158.4 million, of which $44.5 million is obligated for Applicant Review Committee (ARC) grants for various capital projects. The reduction in the R&RR is primarily due to ARC grants and higher capital outlay at the Convention Center.
Over the next month, the County will make its first annual debt service payment to the City of approximately $27 million for the $400 million Camping World Stadium renovation project. In December, the County will also make a $10 million payment to UCF for the $90 million expansion and renovation of the football stadium tower project.
The Orange County Comptroller’s office will release a November TDT collections report in early January.
