Five suspects were arrested in an undercover operation targeting “johns,” Sanford Police Department officers said.
Police said, “johns” looking for prostitutes were targetedd in an undercover operation throughout several areas of the city on October 7.
The five men arrested are:
- John Carrillo, 45 years
- Erik Walter, 32 years
- Richard Covino, 25 years
- Clint Butler, 39 years
- Adam Hunt, 39 years
They were all charged with procuring for prostitution. Walter and Covino were slapped with the additional charge of indecent exposure in public.
“I would like to remind people that if you come to Sanford looking for this type of activity, you will likely be arrested and have your face on the news,” said Sergeant David Morgenstern, of Sanford Police Department, in a release.
