Arrest in Orlando Missing Person Case, Murder Charge for Roommate

An arrest was made in an Orlando missing person case, with a murder charge for the roommate of the victim.




The Orlando Police Department made an arrest in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 42-year-old Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco, a woman reported missing on December 27, 2022.

Gisselle Victoria-Gonzalez & Runyleidy Medina-PachecoOPD detectives have charged Gisselle Victoria-Gonzalez, the roommate of the victim, with one count of Second-Degree Murder, one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence and one count of Grand Theft.

On December 27, 2022, at approximately 1:30pm, officers responded to the 6200 block of Curry Ford Road in response to a missing person. Victoria-Gonzalez, who contacted OPD, stated she had not seen her roommate, Medina-Pachecho, since December 25, 2022.

As the investigation continued, detectives discovered numerous inconsistencies in the version of events as described by Victoria-Gonzalez. A search warrant was executed at their residence, where significant evidence was recovered, indicating a violent incident
had occurred.




Following a comprehensive investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies at the local, state, and federal levels, detectives determined that Victoria-Gonzalez was residing in Hartford, CT. After traveling to Hartford, CT, and conducting an additional interview with her, investigators developed probable cause to charge Victoria-Gonzalez. OPD acknowledged the assistance of the Hartford Police Department for their support in this Orlando investigation.

The body of Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco had not been located at the time of OPD’s report. The Orlando Police Department urges anyone with information regarding this case to contact the Orlando Police Department Homicide Unit or call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
