Police ID man shot, killed at W. Washington Street

Orlando police have identified a man who was shot and killed early on Saturday morning downtown Orlando.

The deceased is Ernest Joseph, 29.

Police arrived around 3:30 a.m., to the 1000 block of W. Washington Street near Benson Avenue, to find Joseph shot.  He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Kevin Moses, 31, another victim, was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, with serious injuries.

Investigators have not provided a motive for Joseph’s murder.  It is unknown whether Joseph and Moses were known to each other.  It is also unclear whether police are searching for a suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
