On Wednesday Canadian police came face-to-face with 14 wild black bears that owners of an illegal marijuana growing operation, had set up to guard their pot in southern eastern British Columbia.
The two growers of the cultivation, who were previously arrested, had used dog food to entice the bears onto the property to protect the illegal operation from other pot thieves, breitbart.com reports.
The police said that the bears were tame, watching around, and did little to guard the cultivation against outsiders.
It is common to find booby-traps, dogs, and humans guarding pot cultivations in Canada, police said.
