Police: Body of Missing Tallahassee Intern Found

The body of a legislative intern who has been missing for two weeks was found today, Tallahassee police said.

Ryan Uhre, 23, disappeared on February 2, after watching the Super Bowl with friends at a bar in Tallahassee, according to news reports.  Since then, police initiated a search and were gathering clues in their investigation.

Uhre, who graduated from Florida State University, was interning with Rep. Richard Stark (D-Weston) when he went missing.

Stark issued the following statement:

“Today, I am deeply saddened and truly shocked by the news that law enforcement in Tallahassee have announced that they have found the body of my legislative intern Ryan Uhre, who had missing since February 2.

A few minutes ago, I attempted to reach out to Ryan’s family to express my condolences. Ryan’s family, friends and coworkers are in our thoughts and prayers in this time of grief.”

The cause of Uhre’s death remains unknown.
