Police Arrest Second Thug in Orlando Cab Driver Robbery

Orlando Police Department (OPD) detectives have arrested the second man wanted in connection with the robbery of a 61-year-old cab driver in Orlando on March 17th. Department officers said.

According to OPD:

On March 17th, Michael Meeks, a 61-year-old taxi driver, picked up two passengers at the Tour-O-Tel Motel, 1301 Givens Street.  He gave them a ride, during which, the two suspects robbed him near the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and Hames Avenue.  Patrol arrested one of the suspects, Christian Davila, at that time.

Detectives released video surveillance of the second suspect to the local news media.

An OPD officer identified the suspect as Francesco Perez, 24 years.

The Orlando Police Department Fugitive Unit was able to locate Perez and arrest him at the Tour-O-Tel motel on March 24th.  Perez was identified as the person in the surveillance video as being in the cab. Perez was charged with the robbery and he was transported to CBO.
