Police Arrest Mother of Missing Child, as Search Continues

A Sanford mother was arrested early on Tuesday morning, even as police continue to search for one of her children.

Rachel Fryer, 32, has been charged with aggravated child neglect, as investigators continue to look for her fourth child.

Investigators went to a home in the 1300 block Oleander Avenue on Monday night, after they were contacted by the Florida Department of Children and Families, to conduct a welfare check.  At the home they found three other children who were later placed with foster parents. But police say, a fourth child is missing.

Police officers are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Fryer’s boyfriend, Timothy Gordon and another woman, Tonya Grooms.

Investigators believe, both Gordon and Grooms could have vital information regarding the missing child.

Fryer is being held at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility, without bond.
