Police: 4 Arrested in Telemarketing Biz Raid

Two people have been charged in connection with a timeshare telemarketing scam and Orlando Police say, more arrests are expected as the investigation unfolds.

On Wednesday around 3:00 p.m., OPD SWAT team, armed with a warrant searched 2295 S. Hiawassee Road, #315, for members of the Economic Crimes Unit and Property Crime Unit.

According to police, 11 people were detained and 4 arrests were made.  Two cars and $3,200 were also seized, along with a small amount of drugs.

Dominion Crupi, 19 years and Michael Malgesini, 26, were arrested and charged with unlicensed telemarketing and operating a scheme to defraud.

During the raid, Julie Spencer, 27, was served with an out of country warrant for a traffic misdemeanor.  Steven Svopa, 23, was also arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

More arrests are expected, as the investigation is ongoing, police say.
