A Lake Nona High School teacher was arrested on Thursday, charged with possession of child pornography.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies say, the Sex Crimes unit worked with Osceola County Sex Crimes Squad to execute a search warrant on Stephen Wise’s home.
Authorities found a computer with child porn images on Wise’s computer, reports wesh.com.
Wise was booked into the Orange County Jail around 1:24 p.m. today. He has been charged with 10 counts of possession of material depicting sexual performances by a child. Wise’s bond has been set at $10,000.
Wise’s website states that, he taught 6th grade language Arts for three years at Odyssey Middle School before moving to Lake Nona High and Middle School. He is also a volunteer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Central Florida and an Assistant Scout Master, according to Wise’s website.
Wise is currently a TV productions teacher for Lake Nona High and Middle School.
Deputies held a news conference earlier today to discuss the case.
