The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts (DPAC) has received a $1 million gift from the Community Foundation of Central Florida.

“We are very grateful to be a recipient of the Community Foundation’s gift. This gift has provided additional financial support to our local arts community,” said Dr. Phillips Center Board Chairman Jim Pugh.

The $1 million gift is from a donor-advised fund, established several years ago at the Community Foundation of Central Florida, and represents a vehicle donors could use to accomplish their philanthropy goals.

“We sincerely appreciate the Community Foundation’s gift, and we thank the Foundation for getting our fundraising year off to a strong start,” said Dr. Phillips Center President Kathy Ramsberger, in a statement.
