Oviedo mother to face judge in fatal shooting of daughter

An Oviedo woman will face a judge on Friday, accused of shooting to death her 17-year-old daughter.

Sujatha Guduru is charged with first-degree premeditated murder after investigators say, she shot and killed her daughter, Chetana, on Monday. Guduru then turned the gun on herself, but she survived.

Guduru said she shot her daughter because she believed there would be no one to care for her after Guduru killed herself, clickorlando.com reports. Guduru had emailed her brother saying she was going to harm her daughter and herself, according to news reports. 

Guduru is being held in the Seminole County Jail, recovering from her gunshot wound.
