The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation is now accepting applications for the CBCF General Mills Health Scholarship. Established in 1998, the goal is to increase the number of minority students pursuing degrees in the fields of medicine, engineering, technology, nutrition and other health-related professions.

Today, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (FL-24) urged students to apply for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Scholarship.

“As a former school principal and a Member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, I know how important scholarships are and how they can positively impact the lives of students struggling financially. Therefore, I urge district 24 high school seniors and college students, who are seeking a career in the Health Industry and need financial assistance, to apply for the CBCF General Mills Health Scholarship,” said Congresswoman Wilson.

To apply, students must log onto the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation website at, cbcfinc.org, to fill out an application. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2014.
