Florida Technical College (FTC) new students in degree and diploma programs at campuses in Orlando, Lakeland, Kissimmee, Deland and Pembroke Pines began receiving iPad 2 WiFi devices today, paving the way for FTC to take mobile learning to the next level.
The devices, which come with Apple training available, also have E-Book applications for textbooks.
“The iPad greatly expands the learning universe for our students,” said David Ruggieri, President at Florida Technical College. And according to Ruggieri, providing the devices for FTC students and faculty assures they stay in step with the technology.
The device offers many unique capabilities for students to be mobile learners, with apps for tracking assignments, taking notes, file sharing on projects and other tools.
Florida Technical College offers associate and bachelor’s degrees and diploma programs in many high-demand occupations – from information technology to health care, from criminal justice to the culinary arts. For more information, visit the college online at www.ftccollege.edu.
