Orlando Police Searching for Teen Rape Suspect

Orlando Police detectives are searching for a man who attempted to rape a 17-year-old victim as she walked to a friend’s house on Lighthouse Circle, off Signal Hill Road in Orlando on Friday night.

According to Orlando Police Department investigators, around 9:15pm, on Friday night, the 17-year-old teenager was walking to her friend’s house in the 4600 block of Lighthouse Circle when she was approached by a black male, asking for directions.   As the victim gave directions, the suspect attacked the victim by pushing her down to the ground, punched her in the face and attempted to sexually assault her.  The victim told police that she began to scream, at which point witnesses came to her aid and the suspect fled.

Police who were called to the scene undertook a search for the suspect, which turned up negative.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5′ 7″ tall, 130-140 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, with a low fade cut.  He was wearing khaki cargo shorts, a white t-shirt, red and white/tan sneakers with white socks.
