Orlando police are investigating a homicide after responding to reports of gunshots in a local residence and finding a dead Black female.
On May 18th at approximately 9:19pm, Orlando Police Department officers responded to 746 West Livingston Street after receiving a call from a resident reporting gunshots inside the home.
Upon arrival, OPD officers located a deceased Black female inside the residence. The victim has been identified as the roommate of the caller.
According to police, preliminary information suggests this may be a domestic-related incident.
The Orlando Police Department said a person of interest remained on scene and is cooperating with the local investigation.
This remains an active investigation, according to law enforcement.
