Orlando Police Department (OPD) & Orlando Fire Department (OFD) are conducting another Joint Training Day on January 27, 2011 involving all the Special Teams at OPD and OFD.
This event is in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security, hospitals in the Central Florida Region and several other entities in Central Florida such as Lynx, Rural Metro, Orange County Sherriff’s Office, Orlando Emergency Operations Center, and Orange County Emergency Operations Center.
The event will take place at the AMWAY ARENA (OLD-600 W Amelia St.) and will involve multiple scenarios.
Hazardous Materials Chemical Explosion inside the West End of the old Amway Arena (components of SWAT, OPD HazMat and OFD HazMat will work that incident)
Hostage/Barricaded Terrorist Incident at the Northeast End of the old Amway Arena
This event has controlled access.
