Troopers are investigating a crash on State Road 436 near Summerwind Drive in Orange County, on Thursday night, that left a 31-year-old Orlando man dead.
According to FHP, a 2008 GMC boxtruck, driven by Abilio Saenz, 47, of La Joya, Texas, was heading north on State Road 436 in the left turn lane to travel west onto Summerwind Drive around 9:00 am on Thursday, December 30.
A 2006 Suzi, driven by Tereso Antonio DeCaro, 31, of Orlando was going south on State Road 436 in the center lane when Saenz violated Decaro’s right of way by attempting to make the left turn. DeCaro’s Suzi collided with the right front of Saenz’s vehicle. DeCaro died on the spot from injuries sustained as a result of the crash.
Saenz and his 12-year-old passenger, Abilio Saenz, Jr., were not injured.
FHP said that the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
