Still Falling: Orlando Hotel Occupancy Drops 3%

Orlando hotel occupancy declined to 76.9 percent for the week ending April 10th, compared to 79.3 percent for the same period in 2009, representing a decrease of 3.0 percent, Smith Travel Research  (STR) reported.

The Average Daily Room (ADR) rates in Orlando up to $97.78, where it stood at $95.52, the same week in 2009, an increase of 2.4 percent.

The Revenue per available (RevPAR) room, one of the most important gauges of health among hotel operators, declined slightly to $75.24, a decline of 0.7 percent, from the $75.79 posted the year before.
