Orlando International Airport saw a nearly 6.8 percent boost in international traffic in July, helping to offset a marginal decline in domestic passenger traffic.
“Numbers like these support our goal of attracting and establishing more international carriers and routes to service Orlando and all of Central Florida,” said Phil Brown, Executive Director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “Not only is it good business for the airport, it is good business for the community.”
Orlando International Airport reported the following statistics for July 2011:
- International traffic increase 6.78 percent
- Domestic traffic decreased 0.44 percent
- Overall passenger traffic increased 0.26 percent to 3,271,795 in July
- Year-to-date overall traffic is up 3.35 percent
