This month, the Orange County School Board approved the adoption of new 9-12 Math textbook instructional resources and materials. Following School Board Policy IJ governing the adoption of Instructional Resources and Materials, the public had an opportunity to provide comment on the recommended materials prior to adoption.
School Board members Linda Kobert, Pamela Gould, Melissa Byrd, Angela Gallo, Johanna Lopez, Karen Castor Dentel, Vicki-Elaine Felder, and Teresa Jacobs all voted to adopt the new textbooks.
The funding request of $2,294,764.45 are the allotted funds needed under the Instructional Materials Budget for the 5-year adoption of 9-12 Math Materials. The 5-year purchase of 9-12 Math is in accordance with the FLDOE implementation schedule and revised adoption schedule that followed Executive Order 19-32.
The committee for 9-12 Math made the selection to recommend adoption of the titles listed below and the Orange County School Board approved:
