Parents and students in Orange County are being urged to review the new Code of Student Conduct for the district, approved by the school board on Tuesday.
The revised Code, which was reviewed by area Superintendents, clarifies the procedures for the administration of student discipline for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year, a statement from the school board said.
The revised Code includes new language and revisions to language regarding hazing offenses and exclusion from participating in extra-curricular activities; students’ dress code; abuse of electronic and Internet devices regarding sexting, and zero tolerance for school-related violent crime.
