Orange County Office on Aging Announces West Orange Series


The Orange County Office on Aging’s announced today its “Counsel for Caregivers: A Helping Hand of Healing” seminar series in West Orange!

The West Orange series will be held at 10:30 am on the second Tuesday of the month at the West Oaks Branch Library, which is located at 1821 E. Silver Star Road, Ocoee. The session topics are listed below and RSVPs should be to [email protected] or 407.836.7446.

  • October 11 – “Caregiver Relief and Stress Management: Finding Humor in Everyday Life” – by Nancy Squillacioti, Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center
  • November 8 – “Understanding the Different Stations of Senior Care: A Step-by-Step Guide to Making the Best Decisions” – by Amy O’Rouke, The Cameron Group
  • December 13 – “A Medical Look at Depression: How to Talk About it and Ways to Combat It – by Florida Hospital

The Orange County Office on Aging, in partnership with Channel 9 and the Orange County Library System, aims to help connect working caregivers and residents with local resources so that they will be able to better balance their lives as employees, caregivers and family members.
