A motorized scooter crash on Rio Pinar Lakes Boulevard on Friday, has now turned into a homicide investigation, Orange County deputies said.
On Friday, Keven Padilla, 18, was involved in what, at first, appeared to be a motorized scooter crash in the 2700 block of Rio Pinar Lakes Boulevard. When investigators arrived around 1:30 a.m., he was found lying by the scooter.
Deputies subsequently determined that Padilla had been shot.
Transported by Orange County Fire Rescue to Orlando Regional Medical Center yesterday, Padilla was taken off of life support earlier today.
Deputies say, an active homicide investigation is now underway.
