Orange County Hearing on UCF/Alafaya Trail Pedestrian Safety Study

Orange County has completed the UCF/Alafaya Trail Pedestrian Safety Study along segments of Alafaya Trail, University Boulevard and McCulloch Road. The study area is approximately 4.6 miles. The purpose of the study was to identify pedestrian and bicycle crossing needs and develop safety enhancements, creating viable opportunities for pedestrian/bicycle movement along and across the corridors. Orange County has scheduled a Local Planning Agency (LPA) Public Hearing to present the findings from the UCF/Alafaya Trail Pedestrian Safety Study to the LPA Commission for its approval and finding of consistency with the Comprehensive Plan. The LPA Public Hearing is open to the general public and begins at 9 a.m.  For specific detail on what time the study will be on the agenda, please refer to the County Calendar. The presentation will be given by County staff, followed by an opportunity for citizens to comment on the study. The County encourages you to attend this public hearing and provide your feedback.
