Orange County deputies recently had to deal with a giant gator.
Local law enforcement deals with a lot of things while keeping the community safe, but they probably did not think a big alligator would end up on that list.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, when the 911 call came in, local deputies thought they would be dealing with a 5-foot alligator walking near an apartment complex.
The gator was more than 11 feet long – but that did not dissuade the Orange County deputies, who were able to assist alligator trappers in safely relocating the giant alligator.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says it is committed to excellence in law enforcement, reducing crime and the fear of crime, ensuring the safety of residents and Central Florida visitors, while enhancing trust through community engagement – and that includes dealing with alligators, even giant gators.
