Styled Operation Cannonball at the start of 2010, the initial phase of the operation commenced on November 30, 2009, and culminated around January 13, 2010, with search warrants and arrest warrants. Forty-nine arrest warrants were obtained for forty-two subjects living in the Parramore neighborhood, the majority being for sale and delivery of cocaine charges.

In executing Operation Cannonball, OPD combined its several resources including, Drug Enforcement Units, Patrol Units, TAC Units, JAC Officers, East Patrol, Parramore Heritage Bikes and Gang Units.

Last Friday, with participating units, several search warrants were executed and a sweep of wanted individuals was conducted.

While 24 drug dealers/buyers/users have been arrested so far in this particular exercise, OPD officials say that, some on the wanted list remain at large, and could have fled the Parramore area, prior to the sweep.

An OPD spokesperson said that, “OPD will remain relentless in its fight against drug sales, violent crimes and the removal of guns off the street, in order to increase the quality of life for all residents.”
