In a celebratory ceremony, Orange County Public Schools will recognize its dedicated volunteers and community partners in education Friday, May 1, 2015 at SeaWorld Orlando in the Nautilus Theatre from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Throughout the school year, nearly 70,000 ADDitions school volunteers and nearly 1,900 Partners in Education provide academic support through mentoring, tutoring, field trip opportunities, and incentives for students and teachers. Some of this year’s honorees include Northrop Grumman, Carl Black of Orlando Chevrolet, Buick and GMC and Papa John’s Pizza.
