SunRail Turns One Year Old, May 1

SunRail2finalSunRail will celebrate its One Year Anniversary, Friday, May 1, with a day full of surprises for passengers. Whether you ride SunRail to and from work or for leisure that day, SunRail promises a day full of fun!

The trains will be running a normal schedule on Friday, May 1. 

To celebrate the one year anniversary of SunRail, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will join Noranne Downs, Florida Department of Transportation District Secretary, to ride SunRail from DeBary to Downtown Orlando to celebrate the one year anniversary of SunRail service.
“Keeping Orlando moving continues to be a priority for the City of Orlando with SunRail as the backbone of our growing transit system,” said Dyer who also is chairman of the Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission, in a statement.  “With just a year of operation under its belt, SunRail has connected more of our residents with access to jobs and opportunity, spurred development and investment and laid the foundation for enhancing and growing our transportation options throughout our entire region.”
